Immigration Cases We Evaluate

Immigration psychological evaluations can provide important clinical documentation about trauma, mental health symptoms, family circumstances, and the psychological impact of experiences relevant to an immigration case.

Raha Wellness provides immigration psychological evaluations for the following types of cases:

  • VAWA Psychological Evaluations

VAWA psychological evaluations may help document the emotional and psychological effects of abuse within a qualifying relationship.

Evaluations may explore experiences involving intimate partner violence, coercive control, emotional abuse, threats, financial abuse, isolation, and other forms of maltreatment when clinically relevant.

  • U Visa Psychological Evaluations

U visa psychological evaluations may help document the psychological impact experienced by individuals who have been victims of qualifying criminal activity.

The evaluation can assess trauma symptoms, fear, anxiety, depression, changes in functioning, sleep disturbance, hypervigilance, and other clinically relevant effects of the experience.

  • T Visa Psychological Evaluations

T visa psychological evaluations may be appropriate for certain survivors of human trafficking.

These evaluations can explore the psychological effects of exploitation, coercion, threats, abuse, trafficking, and related traumatic experiences.

  • Extreme Hardship Psychological Evaluations

Extreme hardship evaluations explore the potential psychological and emotional impact that separation, relocation, or other immigration related circumstances could have on a qualifying individual or family.

The evaluation may consider mental health, family relationships, caregiving responsibilities, medical concerns, financial circumstances, cultural considerations, community support, children's needs, and the potential effects of family separation or relocation.

  • Asylum Psychological Evaluations

An asylum psychological evaluation can help document the psychological effects of persecution, violence, threats, discrimination, displacement, or other traumatic experiences.

The evaluation may assess symptoms of post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, grief, sleep disturbance, hypervigilance, dissociation, and other trauma related concerns when clinically appropriate.
